Water leaking from around the clear pump lid

Safety first: Turn off the pump before removing the lid.

• Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the lid and O-ring. Clean the groove and mating surface on the pump housing.
• Inspect O-ring: Check for cracks, flat spots, or stretching. Replace if damaged.
• Lubricate: Apply a thin coat of silicone-based pool lube to the O-ring and reinstall.
• Seat lid properly: Place the lid evenly and tighten by hand until snug. Do not overtighten.
• Replace lid: If leaks persist and the lid is visibly warped or cracked, replace the lid with a Franklin Electric-approved part.
