Possible Causes
Damaged control PCB from surge, Loose low-voltage harness between keypad and drive, Corrupted firmware, Moisture intrusion into control housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before opening the control housing.
- Inspect control housing for moisture: Remove the cover on the Harris control module and look for condensation, rust, or water marks. Dry gently with a hair dryer on low heat if minor moisture is present; do not overheat components.
- Check keypad and harness connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness between the display keypad and main control PCB is fully seated and not damaged.
- Power cycle the pump: Turn power OFF for at least 5 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then restore power and see if the error clears.
- Surge protection: If the error followed a storm or surge, install a surge protector on the pump circuit to prevent future damage.
Persistent E08 usually indicates a failed control PCB. Replace the Harris pump control module assembly according to manufacturer instructions.
