Possible Causes

Failed internal tachometer sensor, Loose sensor connection on control PCB, Damaged motor rotor magnet, Control board fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and wait several minutes before opening the motor/control assembly.

  • Inspect internal connections: If accessible on your Harris model, remove the rear cover and check the small sensor harness from the motor to the control PCB for secure connection and no visible damage.
  • Check for rotor damage: Look through the ventilation openings for signs of broken magnets or physical damage on the rotor that could affect speed sensing.
  • Reset to factory settings: Use the keypad to perform a factory reset (refer to Harris manual) to clear any corrupted speed profiles.

If E09 remains, the speed sensing circuit or motor assembly is likely defective. Replace the motor assembly or complete pump head as specified by Harris.
