E10
Harris Priming Timeout / No-Flow Detected

Pump shows E10 and will not prime or run at set speed

Possible Causes

Pump not fully primed, Air leak on suction side, Blocked skimmer or main drain, Clogged pump basket or impeller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before opening the pump lid or valves.

  • Fill pump with water: Remove the Harris pump lid and fill the strainer housing completely with water using a hose. Reinstall the lid, ensuring the lid o-ring is clean and lubricated with pool-safe silicone grease.
  • Check for suction-side air leaks: Inspect the suction union, pump lid o-ring, and any suction fittings for cracks or loose connections. Tighten unions by hand plus a small additional turn; do not overtighten.
  • Clean baskets and skimmers: Empty the pump basket and all skimmer baskets. Remove any large debris from the main drain if accessible.
  • Inspect and clean impeller: If flow is still low, remove the motor from the wet end and check the impeller vanes for clogging by leaves, hair, or debris. Clean thoroughly.

After reassembling, restore power and allow the pump to run through its priming cycle. If E10 persists, there may be a plumbing restriction or internal flow sensor issue.
