Pump runs but filter pressure is much lower than normal and suction at skimmer is weak

Safety first: Turn off the pump before opening the lid or valves.

• Check water level: Ensure pool water is high enough to cover skimmer openings fully.
• Inspect and lubricate lid o-ring: Clean and lubricate the Harris pump lid o-ring and ensure the lid is tight.
• Clean basket and impeller: Empty the pump basket and, if needed, remove the motor to clean the impeller vanes.
• Check suction line: If only one skimmer or suction port is weak, there may be a partial blockage; use a drain king or have a professional clear the line.

After corrections, restart the pump and monitor pressure and suction.
