Harris
Inadequate Circulation / Underspeed Operation
Pump runs but water appears cloudy and circulation seems poor despite normal pressure
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Variable-speed pump programmed at too low RPM, Incorrect run time schedule, Oversized pool relative to flow rate, Partially clogged filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure safe footing and dry hands while adjusting controls.
- Increase RPM: On Harris variable-speed models, raise the operating speed and observe flow at the returns.
- Extend run time: Increase daily run time to improve turnover, especially during heavy use or hot weather.
- Clean filter: Backwash or clean the filter to ensure it is not restricting flow.
Adjust pump programming to achieve at least one full pool volume turnover per day, or more as needed.
