Possible Causes
Debris lodged in impeller causing imbalance, Loose mounting bolts, Uneven equipment pad, Misaligned motor and pump housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before touching the pump or motor.
- Check mounting hardware: Verify that the Harris pump base is securely fastened to the equipment pad with appropriate anchors. Tighten loose bolts.
- Inspect impeller for debris: Remove the motor from the pump housing and check the impeller for trapped debris that could cause imbalance. Clean thoroughly.
- Level the pump: Use shims or adjust mounting to ensure the pump sits flat and level on the pad.
- Check motor alignment: Ensure the motor is seated squarely against the pump housing and all bolts are tightened evenly.
Persistent vibration can shorten motor and seal life; correct the cause promptly.
