Possible Causes
Clogged skimmer basket, Air leak at PowerFlo lid O-ring, Blocked suction line between skimmer and PowerFlo, Pump not fully primed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the pump before opening lids or valves.
- Clean skimmer basket: Remove and thoroughly clean the skimmer basket to restore suction.
- Service lid O-ring: Clean and lubricate the PowerFlo lid O-ring and ensure the lid is tight and not cracked.
- Check for line blockage: Use a drain king or plumbing snake from the skimmer toward the pump (with pump disconnected) to clear any blockage in the suction line.
- Re-prime pump: Fill the PowerFlo strainer housing with water, reinstall the lid, and restart the pump, allowing time for full prime.
