Possible Causes
Leaking foot valve or check valve on suction line (if installed), Air leak at PowerFlo lid O-ring, Loose drain plug on PowerFlo housing, Suction line above water level allowing air entry
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the pump before inspection.
- Check lid and drain plugs: Service the PowerFlo lid O-ring and ensure drain plugs are tight with good gaskets.
- Inspect check/foot valve: If your system uses a check valve or foot valve on the suction line, inspect or replace it to prevent water from draining back to the pool.
- Lower suction line (if possible): Ensure suction plumbing is routed to minimize high points where air can accumulate.
- Prime and test: Fully prime the PowerFlo, then shut it off and observe for air entering the basket over time. Address any visible leaks.
