• Check lid and O-ring: Clean, lubricate, and properly seat the pump lid O-ring.
• Tighten fittings: Inspect and tighten all suction-side unions and threaded fittings. Use thread sealant where appropriate.
• Dye test: With the pump running, use a small amount of food coloring near suspected leak points to see if it is drawn in.
• Repair cracks: Any cracked suction piping should be cut out and replaced.
