How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the keypad or controller housing.
- Inspect keypad: Look for cracks, bubbling, or water under the keypad overlay. Dry the surface and surrounding area.
- Check ribbon cable: Open the controller and reseat the keypad ribbon cable into the main PCB connector.
- Test buttons: With power restored, press each button and observe if the display responds. Non-responsive keys indicate keypad failure.
If E4 persists and buttons do not respond, the Hurlcon keypad or display board must be replaced as a module.
