Possible Causes
Failed thermistor on Hurlcon motor, Broken sensor wiring, Sensor dislodged from motor windings, Control board fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before removing motor end covers.
- Visual inspection: Remove the rear motor cover and locate the small temperature sensor (thermistor) attached to the windings. Check that it is still in contact and its wires are intact.
- Check connector: Ensure the thermistor plug is firmly seated on the control PCB.
- Cool-down test: Allow the pump to cool completely and retry. If E5 appears immediately on a cold motor, the sensor is likely faulty.
Replacing the thermistor or control board on a Hurlcon motor is a job for a motor repair shop or technician.
