Possible Causes
Faulty speed selector keypad, Internal drive electronics failure, Loose control ribbon cable, Corrupted firmware on Hurlcon variable-speed drive
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before removing any covers.
- Reset drive: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore. Attempt to select a single speed and run continuously.
- Check keypad: Inspect the Hurlcon keypad for stuck buttons, water ingress, or cracked membrane. Gently press each button to ensure it returns freely.
- Dry moisture: If the keypad or drive housing shows condensation, dry the exterior and improve weather protection (install a cover or shade).
- Try default program: If the controller allows, reset to factory default speed programs and test operation.
If F7 recurs, the internal drive module or keypad assembly may need replacement. This should be done by a technician familiar with Hurlcon variable-speed pumps.
