Possible Causes

Loose Hurlcon union nuts, Damaged union O-rings, Cracked fittings from overtightening, Insufficient thread sealant

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off pump and relieve pressure before loosening any fittings.

  • Tighten unions: Hand-tighten the union nuts. If still leaking, use a strap wrench gently; do not overtighten.
  • Inspect O-rings: Open the union, inspect and clean the O-ring, and replace if flattened or cracked.
  • Reseal threads: For threaded connections, remove, clean, and reapply PTFE tape or thread sealant, then reinstall.

Cracked pump unions or housings should be replaced with genuine Hurlcon fittings.
