Possible Causes
Stuck motor relay on control board, Failed start capacitor (if equipped), Damaged control board traces
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the pump before opening any covers. Capacitors can hold charge; do not touch terminals directly.
- Listen for relay click: When attempting to start (briefly plug in and command start), listen for a click from the control board. No click may indicate a bad relay or board.
- Inspect capacitor (if visible): Look for a bulging or leaking capacitor in the motor housing. A failed capacitor can prevent starting.
- Replace capacitor or motor assembly: On some Intex models, the capacitor is integrated and not user-serviceable; replacing the pump motor assembly is recommended.
- Board replacement: If the motor and capacitor are good but E30 persists, replace the motor control board or control panel PCB as specified.
