Possible Causes
Damaged keypad membrane, Moisture inside control panel, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB, Faulty control panel PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the pump before removing the control panel or any covers.
- Dry the control panel: If the panel has been exposed to rain or splashing, wipe it dry and allow it to air dry for several hours in a shaded, dry area. Do not use a heat gun or hair dryer directly on the panel.
- Inspect for cracks: Look for cracks in the control panel housing or keypad that could allow water in. If present, the panel should be replaced.
- Check keypad response: Plug the unit back in and test each button. If some buttons do not respond or trigger E92, the keypad membrane or ribbon cable is likely damaged.
- Open and reseat ribbon cable (if accessible): With power disconnected, carefully open the control panel housing and reseat the ribbon cable from the keypad to the PCB. Ensure it is fully inserted and locked.
- Replace control panel: If E92 persists, replace the entire control panel assembly specific to your Intex pump model.
