Possible Causes

Corrupted firmware or configuration data, Faulty control panel PCB memory, Power surge damage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before any disassembly.

  • Hard reset: Unplug the pump for at least 15 minutes. Press and hold the main power button on the control panel (if accessible) for 10 seconds while unplugged to help discharge capacitors. Plug back in and test.
  • Check for surge damage: Inspect the control panel and motor housing for burn marks or melted plastic that may indicate a surge. If present, the electronics are likely damaged.
  • Use surge protection: When you restore operation, plug the pump into a quality surge protector rated for outdoor use to prevent future EEPROM corruption.
  • Replace control panel PCB: If E93 remains after a hard reset, the internal memory is likely corrupted or failed. Replace the control panel assembly or main PCB as a unit.
