Possible Causes
Incorrect internal calibration data, Faulty sensor input to control board, Control board failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the pump before inspection.
- Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect and attempt to start the pump again.
- Check sensors and wiring: On combo units (e.g., Intex sand filter with saltwater system), inspect any connected sensors (flow sensor, temperature sensor) and their wiring harnesses for damage or loose connectors.
- Inspect for moisture: Open the electronics compartment (if allowed by the manual) and check for condensation or water ingress. Dry thoroughly and reassemble.
- Board replacement: If E94 persists, the internal calibration or sensor interface on the PCB is likely defective. Replace the control panel PCB or motor control board as specified for your model.
