Pump runs but pressure on the Intex pressure gauge (sand filter models) is very low.

Safety first: Unplug the pump before opening any covers or fittings.

• Check water level: Ensure the pool water level is adequate to cover suction fittings.
• Inspect for air leaks: Check suction hoses, pump lid O-ring, and fittings for air leaks as indicated by bubbles at the return.
• Clean strainer basket: Remove and clean the pump strainer basket.
• Check sand condition: If sand is several seasons old or has clumped, replace with new Intex filter sand.
