Possible Causes
Clogged Intex filter cartridge, Partially blocked suction fitting, Collapsed or kinked hose, Air trapped in filter housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the pump before opening the filter or disconnecting hoses.
- Clean or replace filter: Remove the filter cartridge and rinse thoroughly with a garden hose. If the pleats remain dirty or the cartridge is deformed, replace it with a new Intex filter cartridge of the correct type.
- Check hoses: Inspect all Intex hoses for kinks, flattening, or internal obstructions. Straighten or replace damaged hoses.
- Inspect suction and return fittings: Remove any skimmer attachments and check for leaves or debris lodged in the fittings.
- Bleed air: Open the air release valve on top of the filter housing until water flows steadily, then close it.
- Re-prime and test: Ensure the pump and hoses are fully filled with water before restarting.
