Possible Causes

Tripped GFCI plug, Faulty power cord, Blown internal fuse on control board, Failed control panel PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure your hands are dry and you are standing on a dry surface when working with electrical plugs.

  • Check outlet: Plug a lamp or other device into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
  • Reset GFCI: If your Intex pump has a GFCI plug, press the RESET button firmly. Then press TEST and confirm it trips, then reset again.
  • Inspect cord: Look for visible damage to the power cord and plug. Replace the power cord with GFCI if damaged or if the GFCI will not reset.
  • Internal fuse: Some models have an internal fuse on the control board. With power disconnected, open the control housing (if allowed by the manual) and check the fuse. Replace only with the same rating.
  • Replace control panel: If the outlet and cord are good and the fuse is intact but the panel remains dead, replace the control panel assembly.
