Water is leaking from around the pump lid or filter housing.

Safety first: Unplug the pump before opening the lid or filter housing.

• Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the pump lid and carefully clean the O-ring groove and mating surface with a clean cloth.
• Inspect O-ring: Check for cuts, flat spots, or stretching. Replace with a genuine Intex pump lid O-ring if any damage is found.
• Lubricate O-ring: Apply a thin layer of pool-safe silicone lubricant to help the O-ring seat properly.
• Check lid for cracks: Inspect the plastic lid for hairline cracks. Replace the pump lid if cracked.
• Reinstall carefully: Tighten the lid evenly by hand; do not overtighten, as this can warp the lid or housing.
