How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any covers. Do not attempt to open sealed drive modules.
- Reset programming:
- Enter the pump menu and restore factory defaults.
- Reprogram basic speeds and schedules.
- Isolate from automation:
- If connected to AquaLink or another controller, temporarily disconnect the RS-485 cable.
- Test the pump in standalone mode to see if SPD ERR persists.
- Power cycle:
- Turn off the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power and test again.
- If SPD ERR remains: The internal speed sensor or drive board is likely defective. Replacement of the drive or entire pump is recommended and should be done by a qualified technician.
