Possible Causes

High ambient temperature around equipment pad, Blocked airflow around drive, Faulty internal temperature sensor in drive

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before moving or modifying equipment. Do not cover the pump or block vents.

  • Improve cooling:
    • Clear debris and obstructions around the pump and motor.
    • Provide shade or ventilation if the pump is in direct sun or a small enclosure.
  • Check for other heat sources:
    • Ensure heaters or other hot equipment are not exhausting directly onto the pump.
  • Allow cooling and restart:
    • Let the pump cool for at least 30 minutes, then restore power and test.
  • If TEMP error occurs at normal temperatures: The internal sensor or drive may be faulty. Contact a Jandy service technician to evaluate and replace the drive module if needed.
