Possible Causes

Blocked motor ventilation slots on Kripsol motor housing, High ambient temperature with poor ventilation in pump room, Overloaded pump due to partially blocked impeller, Failing motor bearings in Kripsol motor causing excess friction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before touching the motor or removing covers.

  • Ventilation check: Inspect the Kripsol motor body. Clear dust, leaves, and cobwebs from the cooling fins and fan cover. Ensure at least several centimeters of clearance around the motor for airflow.
  • Pump room ventilation: If the pump is in a closed shed or plant room, ensure vents are open and not blocked. Consider adding a louver or small exhaust fan if the room becomes very hot.
  • Check for mechanical drag: With power off, remove the pump lid and basket. Spin the motor shaft or impeller by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or noisy, the bearings may be failing.
  • Inspect for partial blockage: Debris partially blocking the impeller can increase load and heat. Remove the pump housing screws, separate the Kripsol wet end, and clean the impeller vanes thoroughly.

If E03 continues after cleaning and ensuring good airflow, the internal thermal protector or motor windings may be damaged. Replacement of the motor assembly is recommended.
