Possible Causes
Pump configured for 50 Hz but supplied with 60 Hz (or vice versa), Incorrect voltage selection on Kripsol motor terminal links, Misconfigured parameters in Kripsol variable-speed controller, Internal frequency detection fault on controller PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening any covers.
- Verify nameplate vs supply: Check the Kripsol pump nameplate for rated voltage and frequency (e.g., 230 V 50 Hz). Confirm your mains supply matches. If not, the pump model may be incompatible with your region.
- Check terminal links: On dual-voltage motors, ensure the brass links in the terminal box are set correctly for your supply (e.g., 230 V vs 400 V). Follow the wiring diagram on the motor cover.
- Controller settings: For Kripsol variable-speed pumps, enter the setup menu and verify that the frequency and motor parameters match the motor nameplate. Reset to factory defaults if unsure, then reconfigure.
- Controller fault: If settings and supply are correct but E05 persists, the internal frequency detection circuit may be faulty. Replacement of the controller PCB or drive module is usually required.
Do not attempt to run the pump on an incorrect supply; this can quickly damage the motor.
