Possible Causes

Pump not primed (air in Kripsol pump housing), Closed suction valve or blocked skimmer line, Very low pool water level allowing air into skimmers, Air leak on suction side fittings or Kripsol pump lid O-ring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before opening the pump lid.

  • Check water level: Ensure the pool water level is at least halfway up the skimmer opening so the skimmer does not draw air.
  • Prime the pump: Open the Kripsol pump lid, remove the basket, and fill the pump housing completely with water using a hose. Reinstall the basket and lid, ensuring the lid O-ring is clean and lubricated with silicone grease. Restart the pump and watch for a solid flow.
  • Inspect suction valves: Confirm that all necessary suction valves (skimmer, main drain) are open. Remove any obvious blockages from skimmer baskets and pump basket.
  • Check for air leaks: While the pump is running, look for air bubbles in the pump lid and at the return jets. Tighten unions on the suction side and replace a flattened or cracked Kripsol pump lid O-ring.

If E10 continues despite good water level and no visible air leaks, the dry-run sensor or controller may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
