Possible Causes
Partially clogged Kripsol impeller, Worn impeller vanes from sand or cavitation, Air leak on suction side, Collapsed flexible suction hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and close valves before opening the pump.
- Check for air leaks: Look for air bubbles under the pump lid and at return jets. Tighten suction unions and replace the lid O-ring if needed.
- Clean impeller: Remove the pump housing and inspect the impeller eye and vanes. Use a small brush or wire to clear any debris lodged in the passages.
- Inspect impeller condition: If the impeller vanes are eroded, thin, or broken, replace the Kripsol impeller with the correct model.
- Check suction hoses: Replace any flexible hoses that appear soft, kinked, or collapsed under suction.
