Possible Causes
Incoming mains voltage too low, Loose supply terminal in control box, Undersized extension cable or long cable run, Internal power supply fault on Lowara drive module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power at the breaker and verify with a meter before opening any electrical box. Water and electricity are a lethal combination.
- Check supply voltage: Using a multimeter, measure voltage at the pump’s control box input terminals (L/N or L1–L2–L3). Confirm it matches the Lowara nameplate rating (e.g. 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase ±10%).
- Inspect terminals: With power OFF, remove the control box cover. Tighten all line and neutral terminals feeding the Lowara pool pump and its integrated drive (if fitted). Look for heat discoloration or melted insulation.
- Eliminate bad cabling: Avoid long, undersized extension cords. Use the wire gauge recommended in the Lowara installation manual for the run length.
- Reset the drive: Restore power and perform a reset from the keypad or power-cycle the unit for 2–3 minutes. If E01 returns with correct voltage present, the internal power supply section of the Lowara drive module may be damaged.
- When to call a pro: If voltage is correct and wiring is sound but E01 persists, have a qualified technician test the drive’s DC bus and internal power supply. Replacement of the drive/control module is usually required.
