Possible Causes
Moisture ingress into motor windings, Damaged cable insulation between control box and motor, Water inside Lowara terminal box, Failing motor winding insulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a ground fault. There is a risk of electric shock. Isolate power and keep the area dry.
- Inspect for moisture: Open the motor terminal box and check for condensation, water droplets, or corrosion. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth and gentle warm air (not open flame).
- Check cable condition: Examine the motor supply cable from the control box to the pump for cuts, crushed sections, or UV damage. Replace if any damage is found.
- Insulation test (pro level): A technician should perform a megohmmeter test between each winding and earth. Low resistance indicates a failing motor.
- Reset and test: After drying and correcting any obvious issues, reset the drive and test. If E06 returns immediately, do not continue to reset.
- When to call a pro: Persistent earth faults usually require motor replacement or full pump replacement. Have a qualified technician evaluate the Lowara motor and cabling.
