Possible Causes
Loose keypad ribbon cable, Moisture ingress into keypad, Faulty control PCB on Lowara drive, Electrical noise or interference on control wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before removing any covers. Avoid static discharge to electronic boards.
- Inspect keypad connection: Remove the front cover of the Lowara drive or control box and check the ribbon cable between the keypad and main PCB. Reseat both ends firmly.
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water marks on the keypad and PCB. Dry gently and improve enclosure sealing if water ingress is evident.
- Reduce interference: Ensure control cables are routed away from high‑voltage power cables and that all shields/earth connections are as per Lowara’s wiring diagram.
- Reset the unit: Restore power and attempt a reset. If the keypad remains erratic or E09 persists, the keypad or main control board may be defective.
- When to call a pro: Replacement of the keypad or main control PCB should be done by a qualified technician using genuine Lowara parts.
