Onga
Minor Suction Air Leak / Cavitation
Pump runs but there is a constant stream of air bubbles from the pool return jets.

Possible Causes
Loose pump lid, worn O-ring, small leak at suction union, low water level, suction cleaner drawing air
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before opening the pump lid.
- Water level: Raise pool water to mid-skimmer height.
- Lid seal: Clean and lubricate the Onga pump lid O-ring and sealing surface. Replace if damaged.
- Unions: Tighten suction-side unions and check for drips when the pump is off; drips often become air leaks when running.
- Suction cleaner: If using a vacuum or cleaner, ensure its hose connections are tight and fully submerged.
After sealing leaks, re-prime the pump and observe the returns. Occasional small bubbles may be normal, but continuous bubbles indicate remaining leaks.
