- Check terminal box: Open the motor terminal cover and look for water, corrosion, or burnt connections. Dry and clean minor corrosion; replace burnt parts.
- Insulation test: Have a qualified electrician perform an insulation resistance test on the motor. Low readings indicate winding failure.
