Possible Causes

Loose drain plug, missing or perished drain plug O-ring, cracked housing thread

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and close valves or plug lines before removing the drain plug.

  • Tighten plug: Gently tighten the Onga drain plug by hand or with a suitable tool. Do not overtighten.
  • Inspect O-ring: Remove the plug and check the small O-ring or gasket. Replace if flattened, cracked, or missing.
  • Check housing: Inspect the threaded hole for cracks. A cracked housing may require replacement of the wet end.

After reassembly, run the pump and check for drips. Even small leaks should be corrected to prevent corrosion.
