Pahlén pool pump is leaking water between the pump housing and the motor

• Confirm leak location: Dry the area and observe. If water appears at the joint between the pump volute and motor flange, the mechanical seal is likely leaking.
• Disassemble wet end: Remove the pump from the plumbing if needed. Open the volute, remove the impeller, and access the mechanical seal assembly according to Pahlén service instructions.
• Replace seal: Install a new Pahlén-compatible mechanical seal, ensuring that ceramic and carbon faces are clean and not touched with greasy fingers. Press components squarely into place.
• Reassemble and test: Rebuild the pump, reprime, and run while checking for leaks.
