Pump leaks at the drain plugs on the bottom of the housing

Safety: Turn off power and close valves to prevent water flow while servicing.

• Remove drain plugs: Unscrew the Sta‑Rite pump drain plugs and inspect the threads and o‑rings.
• Replace o‑rings: Install new OEM o‑rings on the drain plugs. Do not use tape in place of o‑rings.
• Inspect threads: Check the pump housing threads for cracks. If cracked, the housing may need replacement.
• Reinstall carefully: Hand‑tighten the drain plugs; do not overtighten, which can crack the housing.
• Check for leaks: Restore flow and observe the plugs for drips.
