How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close valves before disassembly.
- Disassemble wet end: Remove the pump housing and inspect the impeller while turning the motor shaft by hand. If the shaft turns but the impeller does not, the hub is stripped or the shaft is broken.
- Replace impeller: If the impeller hub is cracked, install a new OEM Sta‑Rite impeller matched to your pump model and motor HP.
- Inspect shaft: If the shaft is broken or heavily corroded, replace the motor assembly.
- Install new shaft seal: Whenever replacing impeller or motor, install a new shaft seal kit.
