Pump runs but there are lots of bubbles at the pool returns

Safety: Turn off power before tightening unions or opening the pump.

• Check water level: Ensure the pool water level is high enough to cover the skimmer opening properly.
• Inspect pump lid: Clean and lubricate the Sta‑Rite pump lid o‑ring. Tighten the lid evenly.
• Tighten suction fittings: Hand‑tighten unions and check for cracks in fittings. Replace any cracked parts.
• Test with water: With the pump running, carefully pour water over suspected leak points (lid, unions). If bubbles decrease temporarily, you have found an air leak to repair.
