Pump vibrates excessively and moves on the pad during operation

Safety: Turn off power before touching the pump or plumbing.

• Secure mounting: Ensure the Sta‑Rite pump base is bolted to a solid pad. Tighten mounting bolts or add anchors if missing.
• Inspect plumbing alignment: Check that suction and discharge pipes line up naturally with the pump ports. Excessive force or misalignment can cause vibration; adjust supports or unions as needed.
• Clean impeller: Disassemble the wet end and clean any debris from the impeller that could cause imbalance.
• Check bearings: If vibration is accompanied by noise, inspect motor bearings and replace the motor if worn.
