Pump is very loud with a roaring or whooshing sound and large amounts of air are visible in the pump basket.

Safety first: Turn off power before opening the pump or adjusting water level.

• 1. Raise water level: Ensure pool water is at least halfway up the skimmer opening.
• 2. Check skimmer weir and baskets: Make sure the skimmer weir moves freely and is not stuck. Clean skimmer baskets.
• 3. Inspect suction cleaner hoses: If using a suction-side cleaner, check hose connections and sections for leaks or cracks. Replace damaged sections.
• 4. Verify lid and drain plug seals: Replace worn O-rings and tighten plugs and lid as described earlier.
