Possible Causes
Cracked or warped pump lid, Flattened or dirty lid O-ring, Debris on sealing surface, Lid not tightened evenly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the pump lid.
- 1. Clean sealing surfaces: Remove the lid and O-ring. Clean the groove and mating surface on the pump housing. Remove sand, hair, and debris.
- 2. Inspect lid and O-ring: Check the lid for cracks and the O-ring for flattening, cuts, or brittleness. Replace any damaged parts with Pentair SuperFlo-compatible components.
- 3. Lubricate O-ring: Apply a thin coat of pool-safe silicone lubricant to the O-ring to improve sealing and ease of installation.
- 4. Reinstall lid: Seat the O-ring properly, place the lid, and tighten by hand until snug. Do not overtighten.
- 5. Test under pressure: Restore power and observe for leaks. If leaking persists, inspect for hairline cracks in the housing around the lid area.
