• 1. Tighten unions: Hand-tighten union nuts firmly. Use a strap wrench if needed, but avoid overtightening.
• 2. Inspect O-rings: Disassemble unions and inspect O-rings for cuts, flattening, or chemical damage. Replace as needed.
• 3. Check alignment: Ensure plumbing lines are not putting side-load on the unions. Realign or support piping if necessary.
• 4. Replace cracked unions: If the union body is cracked, replace with compatible Pentair union fittings.
