Possible Causes
Line voltage above specified maximum, Incorrect service voltage supplied to pump, Utility or transformer issue, Surge event damaging drive input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not operate the pump until the supply voltage is confirmed safe.
- Step 1 – Measure line voltage: Have a licensed electrician measure the voltage at the pump and at the service panel. Compare to pump rating.
- Step 2 – Correct supply: If the pump is connected to an incorrect voltage (e.g., 277 V), rewire to the proper 230 V circuit.
- Step 3 – Contact utility if needed: If the service voltage is consistently high, the power company may need to adjust the transformer tap.
- Step 4 – Inspect drive: If Alarm 002 appeared after a lightning or surge event and the pump will not run even with corrected voltage, the drive may be damaged and require replacement.
