Possible Causes
High ambient temperature, Blocked ventilation, Internal thermal sensor fault, Pump installed in unventilated enclosure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before touching.
- Step 1 – Improve airflow: Ensure the pump is not enclosed in a tight box. Provide ventilation openings or relocate the pump to an open area.
- Step 2 – Clean fins and vents: Brush or blow off dust and debris from the drive heat sink and vents.
- Step 3 – Adjust schedule: Avoid running at maximum RPM during the hottest part of the day. Use lower speeds for filtration.
- Step 4 – Replace drive if necessary: If Alarm 004 occurs quickly in cool conditions, the drive’s thermal sensor or internal components may be faulty and require replacement.
