How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure power is off before connecting or disconnecting automation cables.
- Step 1 – Factory reset: Use the pump’s menu to perform a factory reset of settings (refer to the IntelliFlo3 manual). Re‑enter schedules and speeds.
- Step 2 – Disconnect automation: Temporarily disconnect RS‑485 automation wiring and test the pump in standalone mode. If Alarm 009 clears, reconfigure the automation system.
- Step 3 – Firmware update (technician): Have an authorized Pentair technician update the firmware if a known issue exists.
- Step 4 – Replace drive if unresolved: Persistent configuration errors after reset and firmware update may require drive replacement.
