Pump will not start at all, no lights or display on Pentair IntelliFlo / IntelliPro / IntelliFlo3 variable speed pump.

Safety first: High voltage is present. If you are not qualified, call an electrician.

• Step 1 – Check breaker and GFCI: Verify the pump breaker is ON and any GFCI has not tripped. Reset if necessary and see if the pump powers up.
• Step 2 – Verify line voltage at pump: Using a multimeter, confirm correct voltage at the pump’s input terminals. If no voltage, trace back to the panel and repair wiring or replace breaker.
• Step 3 – Inspect wiring connections: With power OFF, remove the drive cover and ensure all incoming power wires are secure and not burnt.
• Step 4 – Check for signs of failure: Look for burnt components, smell of burnt electronics, or water damage inside the drive. If present, the drive is likely failed.
• Step 5 – Replace drive/motor assembly: If correct voltage is present at the pump but there are no lights or display, the internal power supply or control board has failed and the drive/motor assembly should be replaced.
