Raypak pool pump runs but has very low flow; weak return jets and poor skimming.

Safety first: Turn off power before opening the pump lid or filter.

• Clean baskets: Empty the skimmer and pump baskets completely. Check for hidden debris lodged in the basket slots.
• Inspect impeller: Remove the pump lid and reach into the impeller eye with a bent wire or your fingers (power off) to feel for debris. Remove any obstructions.
• Service the filter: Backwash or clean the filter thoroughly. Note the clean starting pressure and compare to current pressure to gauge clogging.
• Check for air leaks: With the pump running, look for air bubbles in the pump lid and at return jets. Tighten suction unions, replace the pump lid O‑ring if cracked, and ensure the drain plugs are sealed.
