Raypak pump makes a loud cavitation or rattling noise and the pump basket is full of bubbles.

• Clear suction obstructions: Clean skimmer baskets and check main drain covers for blockage. Use a drain cleaning bladder if necessary.
• Open valves fully: Ensure all suction valves feeding the Raypak pump are fully open.
• Lower pump or improve plumbing (long term): If the pump is significantly above water level or suction lines are undersized, consult a pool professional to reconfigure plumbing to reduce suction lift and friction.
• Monitor filter pressure: Extremely low filter pressure with noise indicates suction restriction; resolve before continued use.
