• Check ribbon cable: Ensure the cable between the display and control board is firmly seated and undamaged.
• Test backlight: In a dark area, look for any faint glow; a completely dead display with a running motor suggests a display‑only failure.
• Replace keypad/display: Install a new Rheem display module if the rest of the control functions normally.
• Protect from weather: Ensure the new display is properly sealed and shielded from direct water spray.
