Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the pump from mains power at the breaker before opening any electrical box. Water and electricity are a lethal combination.
Steps to check:
- Verify supply voltage: Use a multimeter at the pump’s supply terminals (inside the Speck control box or motor terminal box) to confirm the correct voltage (e.g. 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase as per nameplate). If voltage is below spec, contact an electrician.
- Inspect breaker and RCD: Ensure the dedicated pool pump breaker is ON and the RCD has not tripped. Reset if necessary and try starting again.
- Check terminal tightness: With power OFF, remove the cover of the Speck Pumpen control box and inspect L/N (and L1/L2/L3) terminals. Tighten any loose screws and look for signs of overheating or discoloration.
- Inspect main power switch: If equipped with a rotary isolator or ON/OFF rocker on the Speck controller, check for mechanical damage or burning. Test continuity with a multimeter; replace if open when switched ON.
- Check supply cable: Follow the cable from the distribution board to the pump. Look for crushed, cut, or water-damaged sections. Replace damaged cable immediately.
If correct voltage is present at the motor terminals and E01 persists, the controller’s power input stage may be defective and should be serviced or replaced by a qualified technician.
